Funeral and Cremation Urns

Funeral rites and rituals are as old as mankind and humanity. Some religions and cultures bury their dead. Others believe in cremation. In Christianity however Cremation as a means of disposing off a dead person was not an accepted practice. As with almost everything in life in the last two centuries this thinking has changed for Christians. Cremation is largely accepted now and preserving a part of the ashes in Cremation Urns is considered normal too. Devout Catholics still will not cremate the remains, believing in the resurrection.
A Funeral is usually conducted within a few days after the person has passed. But in various religions like Hinduism, the dead body is cremated as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours. The Funeral ceremony is a lasting service to show respect to the departed soul. Family and friends might visit the grave of a loved one whenever possible, however when you move home, often to new towns or cities or even continents this becomes very impractical, so we are often left remembering the departed on special occasions with thoughts, prayer, ceremonies etc.
Many people the world over, and especially in the US visit local cemeteries and memorial parks on Memorial Day. This day is dedicated to paying your respects to departed friends and family members. For some people these visits may be more frequent than just a special day. Honouring and remembering the dead is not a modern fad. For thousands of years people have cremated their loved ones who died and have preserved their ashes in Urns. The ashes were kept in beautiful earthen or metal Urns after cremation. The only change is that the Funeral Urns or Cremation Urns are now made from a wide variety of materials.
In the US and Canada the funeral rites for the dead include visitation, the funeral, and the burial service. Visitation is where the body of the deceased is placed in a casket for display. Sometimes this may not be possible. If a person has died in an accident or in a horrible fire the body of the deceased cannot be displayed publicly. Cremation is the only option in such cases. The ashes can then be preserved in Cremation Urns. For the Funeral rites the cremated remains preserved in the Funeral Urns. This Urn is put up in a public place and kept for everyone to pay his or her last respects.
Burial and preserving the ashes after cremation are forms of memorializing the deceased. Visiting the grave of a deceased loved one is remembering them. A permanent and fitting memorial to the dear departed soul is important. Memorials remind is of our loved ones in times of sorrow and happiness. Cremating a loved one is not the end. After cremation the memories like the ashes can be preserved in Cremation Urns. The Urns can be placed in a cozy nook or corner of your home or garden. This will ensure that you are near to your departed loved one. You can visit the memorial that you have setup for your loved one as often as you like. The remains of your loved one can be preserved in custom designed Funeral Urns.
Another way of keeping your loved one near you is by placing the Cremation Urns in a niche, or “wall of remembrance”. A niche can be an in inner or outer wall of your home. Many cemeteries too have a separate area for Funeral Urns. Whether you choose a place in your home or garden, remembering the loved one is important.
Create the Perfect memorial for your deceased loved ones and pets with standard or even customized Funeral Urns
